WiFi market happens to be quite hot with companies on the global coming out with new products and services. Government, agencies, institutions debating discussing and yes some going for implementation of WiFi network within their premises. The wifi heat happens to be hottest in USA.

In the backdrop of this the city of San Jose has decided to extend the WiFi network in its down town areas. The services of course will be free of cost. The network will not cover full San Jose but downtown areas, libraries and community centers. This happens to experiment of San Jose in a limited. This comes at a time when San Francisco is debating to have one.

If things work out well then in future San Jose may go for full fledged network

At the moment WiFi hot spots are there in limited numbers in few select locations in the city



It is expected that the benefits of this network will be very high. It can be a role model for other cities who are still pondering over this issue.
