McDonald restaurants in the US have been WiFied some years back, now even the restaurants in UK will offer free WiFi to their British customers.
By the end of this year most of the 1,200 McDonald restaurants in the UK will have this free high speed internet available for its customers. Cool, so now you can munch on your favorite burger and fries and go online for free via your laptops, compatible mobile phones and games consoles for hours on end!
According to McDonalds, a user who pays to log on for just an hour a week in a coffee shop can save an amazing £260 a year on premium WiFi charges by simply using McDonald’s free service!
But, aren’t there chances of this free service being misused? After all, someone can just buy a cup of coffee and sit and access the free service for hours on end! According to a company spokesman,
we would be comfortable with that. There will be no restrictions.
Smart move! After all, the longer a person spends in a restaurant the more the chances are that the consumer will end up spending more! I would say, an absolute win-win situation, both for McDonalds and for the customers.
