Tivoli Audio has launched two sub $1,000 radio models in tabletop and portable versions. The company has launched two network-enabled radios, called the NetWorksGo, and the NetWorks Table Radio.
The radios would be able to access streaming content from approximately 12,000 free radio stations worldwide as well as HD Radio and DAB Radio content by using Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections.
Both radios will stream podacst and certain music files, which are available on a user’s hard drive from either Macs or PCs. Both radios will drop the Amplitude Modulation (AM) tuner and only retain the Frequency Modulation (FM) FM radio.
They have ability to stream in MP3, WMA and real Audio Internet radio to playback through the device without any need of computer. Even they can optionally connect to a networked computer or through a USB connection to play music from a PC or other device.

Users can tune limited number of stations pre-listed from Tivoli but according to the company, users can easily select more stations by sending e-mail requests to Tivoli for new station. The NetWorksGo model runs on six C-batteries and it’s portability allows you to carry it from one room to room or as per the FM or Wi-Fi accessibility.
Tivoli Audio’s president and CEO, Tom DeVesto, said:
The radios automatically recognize your IP address when you go on line. The radios decode WMA, MP3 and Real Audio files, and will also eventually be able to access XM and Sirius content. Both radios will be upgradable over Wi-Fi, and have auxiliary inputs for iPod connection, as well as USB inputs.
