Hacking of Wi-Fi is increasing day by day. The courts are also taking this very seriously. A federal court in the US has given a nine-year sentence to Brian Salcedo, who hacked into a Lowe’s wireless network.
Brian Salcedo was arrested on the hacking of unsecured Lowe’s Wi-Fi network in suburban Detroit in 2003. He used different credit cards for hacking. Salcedo was able to store six credit card numbers on a special spot on the network.
The court has given him nine-year sentence. He has been in Jail since 2003. Anyway, this punishment is too much for him as it far outweighs the crime he has committed.
