Now, US customers can use single phone for all of their home and mobile calling needs. T-Mobile, the No. 4 U.S. mobile service provider announced the nationwide launch of T-Mobile HotSpot@Home, a ground-breaking new wireless service, which uses short range Wi-Fi networks to provide all services in one phone.
T-Mobile HotSpot@Home allows users to stay connected with their friends and family by combining the wireless Internet and T-Mobile’s nationwide voice and data network. While at home, users can enjoy more mobile coverage and unlimited domestic calls over Wi-Fi. Even mobile customers can also also enjoy same benefits like home customers. When T-Mobile HotSpot @Home customers leave home or exit a T-Mobile HotSpot, their calls will seamlessly transfer onto T-Mobile’s GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless network. Thus it offers freedom to customers to continue their important conversations while on traveling.

The company has partnered with leading router manufacturers D-Link and Linksys for Wi-Fi routers optimized for a first-rate calling experience with the T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service. Users need to pay an extra fee of up to $19.99 per line or $29.99 for five lines on top of regular monthly cellular bills for unlimited calls in subscriber’s home or nearly 8,500 places T-Mobile runs Wi-Fi.
T-Mobile USA’s product marketing director, Mike Selman, said,
The service would help T-Mobile USA compete better with its rivals. Two of them are owned by traditional wireline telephone companies: AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless, a venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group Plc.
