Nokia Siemens Networks, one of the world’s leading infrastructure and service providers and Pipex Wireless have agreed to cooperate on the development of WiMAX infrastructure and service in UK. Both the companies are agreed to expand the availability of commercial WiMAX services in UK.
Pipex Wireless will use the Nokia Siemens Networks’ equipment, services and networking expertise to expand its WiMAX powered broadband wireless services in nationwide. Nokia Siemens Networks’ WiMAX solution is quite highly cost-effective network infrastructure solution, which allows operators to deliver broadband wireless Internet connectivity to their customers.
This joint venture will offer expanded wireless networks to UK citizens. Now both companies are working on equipment specification, network design and service definition. According to Mike Read, CEO of Pipex Wireless, this joint venture will enhance business in the country.
While according to Ari Lehtoranta, Head of Radio Access Networks at Nokia Siemens Networks, Pipex Wireless is bringing expertise in Internet broadband and technology innovation and Nokia Siemens Networks have good experience in designing, developing and maintaining high quality networks.
