Google is trying to allay any privacy and coverage concerns about a wireless Internet network.

The re-phrase of Google for customers is ‘don’t worry, just surf’. They are going to reach most of the cities except some places like dead zones and local golf course. Beta testers will get their first at the Wi-Fi network built in Mountain View. Google is planning to take participate in municipal wireless network in San Francisco. This network is build by Internet provider EarthLink, and possibly one in New Orleans.

The most troubling thing about Google Wi-Fi is that networks are able to track of user’s location because it is so much accurate.

According to private advocates, it has uncomfortable levels to the private information that Google already has about its consumers. Sure Google will gain a level of geographical certainty about a Wi-Fi network user. It has more than user’s email address to match their location.

Google does not have a plan to use accurate location-based technology, wherever it may be found. Such technology will help Google in following way :

1. To serve up more locally targeted ads, which are calling businesses

2. To provide new, more locally based content to Google consumers.

According to law, Google has to respond valid and appropriate requests for user’s location.

We have a deep commitment to privacy.

The other point on Google has to face is how much network will be covered by Mountain View. The goal of Google is 100% but is possible only when it light the networks.
