Netgear is developing the second-generation Skype WiFi Phone for the customers. The device is known as Netgear SPH200W. It is the successor of SPH101, the first-generation Skype WiFi phone from the company.
As of now, we have not enough information on the phone. From media sources, I came to know some its outward features. Netgear has emphasized on the design so that it will patch up the missing things of SPH101.
The SPH200W has a simple look with a little change in the keypad layout. It comes with different charging units, which are integrated in a cradle.
The change design has aimed at reducing the production cost so that the company will bring down the selling price. The price of SPH101 was something around $160. So, the price of its successor will be less than that.
Regardless its design and price, I am sure the latest device will ensure the basic VoIP services. It includes PC free VoIP calls, Call forwarding, Ensures Skype calls in WiFi and wireless Internet access areas, Communicates with ordinary phones worldwide.
We will tell you more when we learn more.
