A US based start up Ruckus Wireless has brought out a first product in the family of broadband wireless home gateways, the Ruckus MetroFlex2201.This product has been brought out for MetroMesh Wi-Fi networks.



There happen to be number of problems with the metro-scale Wi-Fi networks. Such as inadequate range, fluctuations in performance, unstable wireless connectivity and broadband performance reduction on account of interference.

This product integrates the company’s ‘BeamFlex’ smart antenna technology featuring six-element antenna array having the capacity to transmit RF signals in 63 unique antenna patterns and orientations



With this product one can connect to the optimum MetroMesh Wi-Fi node based on signal quality, network performance and other service provider-specific parameters.Ruckus Wireless has entered into a joint marketing partnership with Tropos Networks so as to offer service providers a scalable and manageable broadband wireless infrastructure solution.

It is slated for release in January 2006,



With price factor being low it is bound for a success.
