Most of the leading companies are making its presence in the WiMax Summit by launching their new products and applications in the summit. ApaceWave Technologies has just announced the new APW-2000 Mobile Station System-on-a-Chip (SoC) at the WiMAX Summit in Beijing.

The new APW-2000 Mobile Station (SoC) is based on 20 patents of ApaceWave’s IP portfolio. 11 09 07 011 The APW-2000 supports to all 802.16 mobile WiMAX Wave 2 features, including MIMO Matrix A & B, and Beam Forming. The architecture and algorithms of the new APW-2000 Mobile Station System-on-a-Chip (SoC) is specifically designed for low-power, high-data rate and exceptional performance under full mobility channel conditions.

The APW-2000 mobile WiMax baseband SoC includes PHY MAC, CPU and multiple data interfaces. The powerful mobile station software supports the APW-2000. The new APW-2000 requires a minimum of external components to develop WiMax modems for CPE’s, PC Cards, USB adapters, and portable handheld devices. APW-2000 design is using sophisticated FPGA board, which is tested by company in France.

ApaceWave has aligned the features of product to fulfill the needs of Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). The company is bringing top-performance technology in low-cost rate. It is expected that the samples and reference kits would be available by the first quarter of 2008.
