Airspan Networks Inc confirmed the launch of the AS.MAX MicroMAX base station and ProST Wi-Fi access point for installment in the Public Safety and Municipal Wireless markets in the USA.
Airspan offers the advantages of WiMAX range, capacity and standard service with the flexibility of Wi-Fi by combining 802.11 Wi-Fi for access and 802.16 WiMAX for backhaul in a single integrated package. For this service, the company does not charge any additional cost.
